The Australian University Sport crew is pulling out all stops to make this event one of the best AUG’s in recent years, with a jam packed 5-day event program and an awesome social program to match.

In 2008 Australia’s largest annual multi sport event will be held in the city of Melbourne. The games provide an opportunity for university athletes to compete against each other in a national multi sport event, attracting over 6000 participants from over 40 universities. The 2008 games boast a program of 28 sports and will operate with support from Tourism Victoria and both Monash and Victoria University.

Get ready for 5 days of great sport and an awesome social program in arguably Australia's sporting capital!

Australian University Games Fundraiser:                                  
      
 The team UWS annual fundraiser will this year be held at The Orient Hotel -"The pub that rocks The Rocks!", on Thursday 4th September from 9pm. Help raise money to send our UWS athletes to compete in Melbourne.

As with last year - a $10 cover charge will be in place for the evening. All of this money raised goes directly back to fund our athletes to get to Melbourne. If you are not competing this year, come along for a great night out in one Sydney's most popular hotels. If you are competing in the Games, make sure you bring as many friends as possible - remember their cover charge is going directly back to YOU!

The team UWS fundraiser night has kindly been supported by the Orient Hotel and all people attending will receive one free drink voucher for the evening. There will be a DJ in the Orient Nightclub exclusively for team UWS and friends. There will also be a live band on the ground floor.

Start rounding up the troups for a great social night out and a bit of team bonding before our team heads off to Melbourne. See why The Oreint Hotel is "The pub that rocks The Rocks" - guarenteed to be a great night out!
