The University of Western Sydney (UWS) is a young and dynamic institution with a growing reputation for both academic and sporting excellence. By entering the University of Western Sydney, students become part of the newest and most innovative academic and sporting program.
UWS is a strong supporter of elite student athletes and as such is a member of the national network of Elite Athlete Friendly Universities (EAFU). To provide practical support for elite athlete students UWS has developed the Elite Athlete Support and Assistance Program (EASAP).
The EAFU is an initiative of Athlete Career and Education (ACE) unit of the
Australian Sports Commission
and is endorsed by the Australian Institute of Sport, state institutes of sport and participating players association. UWS is an inaugural member of the network.
The Elite Athlete Support and Assistance Program (EASAP)
The aim of the Elite Athlete Support and Assistance Program is to identify elite athletes and then help them in the development of skills to assist in balancing their sporting commitments and their studies at the University of Western Sydney. Are you eligible?
uwsconnect Ltd is responsible for the implementation and delivery of the Elite Athlete Support and Assistance Program on behalf of the University of Western Sydney.

The program also aims to encourage all students to consider tertiary education, using elite UWS student athletes as positive role models.
